Roland Smith Insurance Brokers were founded in Liverpool City Centre in 1965 by the late Roland Smith. The Company now employs over 80 people, with Roland Smith's son, Nigel as Managing Director, and his daughter, Pam McGaffney, as Schemes Director with responsibility for running our Special Schemes for serving and retired Police Officers and Firefighters.
We have been working with Police Federations since the Company first began, and now provide Special Schemes for over 34 different Federations, plus of course NARPO. In 2006 we took over the PoliceGuard brand from Norwich Union (now Aviva) which gave us access to serving and retired officers from federations we hadn't previously dealt with. Our connections with the Police (both serving and retired) are very important to us, and because of this we make every effort to provide a service which is second to none.
More importantly in 2007, Roland Smith Ltd was sold to Police Mutual Assurance Society and Roland Smith have since taken over the administration of the Police Mutual home and car insurance schemes.

Add all this to Roland Smith's traditional customer base and we now have the UKs largest scheme for serving and retired Police Officers.
